About Martine
Hello and welcome to my learning shop!
My name is Martine Hestnes Healy and I am a kindergarten teacher living and working on the west coast of Norway. Over a year ago I started making learning materials for use in my classroom. Together with a friend of mine, Åshild, who is a kindergarden teacher and an artist, we started with the Blue Series. From there Åshild drew more pictures and I designed more learning materials.
About 6 months into the project I got another artist, Helen Munch-Ellingsen, to make some illustrations and I began to re-do some of the older material with the new artwork and to make brand new materials. And now I have just recently released new and old material with my newest illustrator, Tom Petter Hansen.
I very much believe that learning materials should be of the highest quality so that both the children and the teachers can get the very most out of the learning experience. Children are natural learners and the young brain craves to learn. Children from birth absorb fantastic amounts of learning and quality materials and creative activities deepen the impact of this invaluable period.

My educational background
I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and I am a trained Montessori educator.
